This experimental Labs interface shows which organizations, places, and projects co-occur in public documents. A semantic label appears only when a source passage provides classifying evidence. Co-occurrence is not proof of a relationship, influence, endorsement, or cause.
We filter out pairings that are just boilerplate — a publisher’s name on every story, a city name in every dateline — so what’s left means something.
The map draws the top 71 of 709 active names in this window so it stays readable. Quieter names are still counted in the summary. We cap what renders to keep the page fast.
Every line on the map is a “co-mention” — two names appearing together in the same public document. We rank the pairs that are easier to verify: named civic actors, multiple independent sources, recent publication dates, pairings across different kinds of actors, and passages where both names appear in the same context.
Names are ordered by civic signal — mention volume weighted toward Bentonville government evidence — not raw mention count. Each time window is counted and filtered on its own, so counts are not comparable across windows.
